Crowdsourcing for my Project

I have been working on a project since January 1st.  I've run every day this year and I've shot a little bit of video every day.  The finished project will have a 1 second clip from every day.  There are shots from all over the US (thanks to SNF and the Kings) and several countries in Europe.

What I need is a title for this thing.  I've been thinking about it all year, but I haven't really come up with anything.  I'm hoping one of my creative friends will have have a great idea.

So far, I've thought of the obvious:
"Run Every Day"
"I Run Every Day"
"365 Runs"
"Run365"

Please leave your suggestions in the comments below.  And thanks for your help!

Rocky River Run

Spent the night at an airport hotel in Cleveland.  Found some gorgeous trail running right out the back door!

Karly's "Big Girl" Bike

Karly has been wanting a two-wheel bike like the girls next door.  We got her one in time for a Memorial Day bike parade.  She struggled at first, but eventually got it.

Eugene Marathon

I took a slightly different approach with the Eugene Marathon.  Because of an injury-shortened training period, I concentrated on getting my mileage up, not on building speed.  So I went into Eugene with the goal of running at a comfortable pace and enjoying the scenic course.  Mission accomplished!

I finished in 3:36:52 (an average pace of 8:17/mile) and had a great time.  I was 680th of 2,565 finishers and 87th of 214 men 40-44 years old.

Because I ran at a relatively easy pace, rather than chasing a PR or a Boston Qualifier, I recovered quickly.

It was such an enjoyable experience overall, I'm eager to run a marathon "easy" like this again.  I've never been eager to run another marathon so soon after finishing one!

Running on the Road

Travel is a necessary evil of my job.  It means time away from my family and countless hours wasted sitting on airplanes and airports.

It also can impact my running, mostly in a negative way.  Odd hours, downtown hotels and a northeastern-US-heavy schedule often means cold, dark runs on strange streets.

Sometimes, however, it works out.  My recent road trip through Memphis, Charlotte and New Orleans is a perfect example.  Enjoy!

More Running Over the Weekend

Some more opportunities to run on my beloved American River Parkway.  Both runs this weekend were on the horse trails that (usually) meander between the bike path and the river.

On Saturday, Kim and I were joined by our friends Jo and Mike.

On Sunday, it was just Kim and I.  I thoroughly enjoy running with my beautiful wife.  I wish we could do it more often!

Green Bay: NOT a Paradise for Runners

In stark contrast to the video I posted to show off how perfect my fair city is for running, I give you this:

Cold as it was, it still beats the treadmill!

How old is Daddy?

I just thought this was cute :o)

Sacramento: Runners' Paradise

I often call the American River Parkway the jewel of Sacramento.  Most of my daily runs incorporate some part of the parkway, whether it's the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail, the horse trails, the levee crest or a combination of all of those.

Here are clips from three recent runs on the parkway:

I feel fortunate to live where I do.
